Much Love! After a four year battle with brain cancer Michael (Mikey) Powers died peacefully on September 25, 2015 at home with family and friends. At the young age of 32 Mikey leaves behind his mother Jeannine Powers, father Michael Powers (Wendy), sister Tina Wojak (Deni niece), sister Terri Wojak, sister Tracy Rasmussen (Craig), along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends. Mikey was born the youngest of four children on July 22, 1983 to a modern family with lots of love. Mikey grew up in Tinley Park Illinois and graduated from Andrew High School then attended Moraine Valley Community College with an interest in communications, drama, improv, and comedy. Following college Mikey attended improv classes at Second City and appeared in a few stage productions there prior to moving to southern California hoping to expand his stage presence. Mikey was always making people laugh, lived in the moment, and enjoyed nature�s beauty. Mikey enjoyed playing guitar, photography, writing comedy, traveling, and life in general through healthy living and good friends. An old soul, Mikey had insight into life and the arts beyond his years. He loved to share good food, walks at sunset, and gaze at the world's beauty through his lens. Mikey was always looking for what he called Views (his perspective of the world) that he wanted to share with anyone that was interested. Visitation will be Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Foran Funeral Home in Summit Illinois 7300 West Archer Avenue between 2 PM and 8 PM. A short memorial service will start at 6 PM during visitation. Creative expressions or short performances are welcome and encouraged during visitation. Attire is casual as was Mike's style. Mikey requested his remains be cremated. A Tribute to Mikey can be made to American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) at http://www.abta.org/donate/ in lieu of flowers or other considerations. As Mikey would say ''Applause!''
