Benjamin Prado Gomez passed away Friday morning, June 12, 2026. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irma Prado Ortega who passed away in 2009 and is survived by his current wife, Alma A. Jasso Pedroza. Cherished father of Inocencio(Chato) and his wife Candace, Marco Antonio, Griselda and her husband Leonard, Eduardo and his wife Claudia De La Mora, and Irma Lissete and her husband Brian Perez. Much loved grandfather of Brandan Prado, Alyce Prado, Dario Gomez, Giselle Gomez, Noah Gomez, Valentina Prado, Camila Prado, Lucia Prado, Isla Prado, Violet Prado, Naima Perez, Arlo Perez and Sofia Prado. Proud great grandfather of Amelia Prado and Aliza Prado. Dear brother of the late Jose Manuel Prado Gomez, Inocencio Prado Gomez, Maria De Jesus Prado Gomez and Maria De La Paz Prado Gomez. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Benjamin embodied the values of hard work, integrity and compassion. He retired as a UAW union member from Electromotive, a division of General Motors. He will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty and optimism, which earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Visitation is Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). There will be a Service in Celebration of Benjamin’s life at 6:00 PM. Per his request, Benjamin will return to his beloved Mexico and be buried there. Querido padre de Inocencio (Chato) y su esposa Candace, Marco Antonio, Griselda y su esposo Leonard, Eduardo y su esposa Claudia De La Mora, y Irma Lissete y su esposo Brian Perez. Querido abuelo de Brandon Prado, Alyce Prado, Dario Gomez, Giselle Gomez, Noah Gomez, Valentina Prado, Camila Prado, Lucia Prado Isla Prado, Violet Prado, Naima Perez, Arlo Perez y Sofia Prado. Orgulloso bisabuelo de Amelia Prado and Aliza Prado. Querido hermano de Jose Manuel Prado Gomez (que en paz descanse), Inocencio Prado Gomez, Maria De Jesus Prado Gomez and Maria De La Paz Prado Gomez. Tio de muchos sobrinos y sobrinas. Durante su vida, Benjamin encarno los valores de fuerte trabajador, integridad y compassion. Se retiro de UAW siendo miembro de la union de electromotriz, una division de General Motors. Sera recordado por su honestidad, lealtad y optinismo, cual ganaron el respeto y admiracion de todos sus conicidos. Visitacion sera el Miercoles, 17 de Junio del 2026 de las 4:00pm a las 8:00pm en la funeraria Foran, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street justo al oeste de la Harlem). Habra un servicio de celebracion de vida a las 6:00pm. Por su peticion, Benjamin regresara a su querido Mexico para ser sepultado.
